A common guest of residential Australian gardens, the Kookaburra is the largest member of the Kingfisher species. This is the 2024 Kilo edition with a brand new reverse design that has been meticulously struck from 99.99% pure silver.
The design:
The reverse portrays a Kookaburra in flight over a gorge with a snake in its talons. Other points include the outer border inscriptions “Kookaburra”, the 125th Anniversary of the Perth Mint’s mintmark, the year of issue, weight and purity.
The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of his Majesty King Charles III and the legal tender value.
There is no initial issue limit for the kilo format, however, production will close at the end of 2024 and the Perth Mint will declare then the ultimate mintage.
