The Purple-throated Carib is one of those amazing species of hummingbird that seems to perform impossible aerial acrobatics, and it has been chosen by Scottsdale Mint to represent this stunning island. It delivers an incredibly detailed strike for a bullion coin, it’s definitely of the nicer designs in the series to date.
The Eulampis jugularis is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It breeds on Antigua, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Montserrat, Saba, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and Sint Eustatius.
