2016 1 Onza Frozen Aurora Libertad Rhodium & UV Colored Silver Coin
This beautiful Silver coin, the fourth issue in the “Frozen Rhodium” series, features a genuine Mexican Silver Libertad. The coin is completely plated with Rhodium, followed by an Ultraviolet reactive colored printing and comes in an elegant wooden box. The coin ships with a Certificate of Authenticity and is a limited mintage of just 500 pieces worldwide.
The reverse features two key symbols of the Mexican people: the Angel of Independence and the Mexican volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl. Appearing in the forefront, the Winged Victory angel is a historic monument for the Mexican people and is considered the symbol of Mexico City. The Mexican volcanoes pictured in the background of the reverse memorialize the legend of the two lovers from whom they were named. The white and green coloration and the innovative UV printing make the coin unique. On top of the reverse, the inscriptions: “1 Onza” – the Silver weight, “Plata Pura” – the Silver fineness, “2016” – the issue year and “Ley .999”. On the obverse side, the National Shield is surrounded by different eagle designs used as National emblems through the years, as well as the eagle in the Codex Mendocino.
