This extraordinary coin is created in cooperation with Andrzej Sapkowski, a famous Polish writer who wrote books in the series ‘The Witcher’. On the basis of his works, CD Project Red created a series of games in addition to a hit Netflix TV series. In the spirit of this massively popular franchise, Mint of Gdansk will release collectible coins with incredible designs from The Witcher.

The reverse of the coin dazzles with dynamic composition and depth of detail, achieved through ultra-high relief. It depicts one of the most memorable scenes from The Last Wish, where Geralt of Rivia arrives at Nivellen’s castle twelve years after dramatic events. The setting brims with tension—the moment of battle against the terrifying bruxa named Vereena. In the foreground, Geralt stands armored, his sword gleaming with metallic UV printing as he confronts the vampiress with her demonic gaze. Fighting alongside him is Nivellen, trapped in the body of a beast, wielding a massive staff to pierce the bruxa in a desperate act of courage. The scene is enriched by a 3D wooden shield and architectural details in the background depicting a medieval settlement.

The obverse of the coin symbolizes a fusion of tradition and mystery, evoking the atmosphere of The Witcher’s fantastical universe. At its center lies the coat of arms of Niue—the issuer of the coin—surrounded by an intricately detailed medieval castle. In the background stretches a magical nighttime scene: a dark forest bathed in moonlight, casting a soft glow over ruins. Broken carts with shattered wheels add an extra layer of drama to the imagery. Along the coin’s edge are inscriptions detailing its denomination (15 DOLLARS), weight (200 g), and silver purity (AG 999).
