Background:
Tutankhamun’s Sarcophagus, containing three coffins was discovered by Howard Carter in 1925. Located in the Valley of the Kings in a tomb now identified as KV62. The outer two coffins were contructed from wood while the innermost and third coffin was made of solid gold.
