This extraordinary coin is created in cooperation with Andrzej Sapkowski, a famous Polish writer who wrote books in the series ‘The Witcher’. On the basis of his works, CD Project Red created a series of games in addition to a hit Netflix TV series. In the spirit of this massively popular franchise, Mint of Gdansk will release collectible coins with incredible designs from The Witcher.
This is the big brother to the 2 ounce edition and it again features an exclusive mintage of just 200 pieces worldwide.
Backstory:
The reverse has a depiction of the scene of Geralt’s fight with the wizard Vilgefortz. Every detail is perfectly visible thanks to the high relief minting, which is as high as 3.6 mm. Both the obverse and the reverse of the coin are eye-catching thanks to the green Aventurine insert.
On the obverse, looking from the top, we see the name of the isle ‘Thanedd’, which is owned by wizards.
