This extraordinary coin is created in cooperation with Andrzej Sapkowski, a famous Polish writer who wrote books in the series ‘The Witcher’. On the basis of his works, CD Project Red created a series of games in addition to a hit Netflix TV series. In the spirit of this massively popular franchise, Mint of Gdansk will release collectible coins with incredible designs from The Witcher.
The reverse depicts an important scene from Andrzej Sapkowski’s book of the same title. It is an attack of Scoia’tael commando group on a dwarven caravan, which Geralt and Ciri were travelling with.
Every detail of the reverse is is brougt to vidid life thanks to the exceptional high relief strike, there is also an addition of selective pink gold, which imitates blood. Another interesting decorative element is the wheel, which was handmade from natural hardwood.
The obverse is decorated with ornaments and symbols related to Elirena. A squirrel in the Gothic medallion and bushes full of roses refer to her.
Limited mintage of only 2000 pieces worldwide with only a small allocation being made available to the collector market. Remaining issues will be reserved for organizations closely associated with the book series.
