This extraordinary coin is created in cooperation with Andrzej Sapkowski, a famous Polish writer who wrote books in the series ‘The Witcher’. On the basis of his works, CD Project Red created a series of games in addition to a hit Netflix TV series. In the spirit of this massively popular franchise, Mint of Gdansk will release collectible coins with incredible designs from The Witcher.
This is the big brother to the 2 ounce edition and it again features an exclusive mintage of just 200 pieces worldwide.
Backstory:
The reverse shows the scene of Ciri’s pendulum training in Kaer Morhen. The Witchers taught Ciri how to fight, while the sorceress Triss Merigold made sure Ciri understood magic.
On the obverse, looking from the top, we see the name of the stronghold. Below the inscription is the entrance gate to the stronghold. The mountains in Kaedwen are placed in the background. All the details are once again captured in exceptional high relief while the genuine agate insert represents the window of the fortress.
