One of the most well-known works of all times and places is 14th-century epic poem “The Divine Comedy” written by an Italian writer Dante Alighieri.

This coin was created in honor of the 700th anniversary of this monumental poem  “The Divine Comedy” that he completed a year before his death in 1321. The reverse features a beautifully detailed depiction of hell.  In the Inferno, it goes about the journey of Dante through hell, guided by the ancient Roman poet Virgil. As an allegory, the Divine Comedy represents the journey of the soul toward God, with the Inferno describing the recognition and rejection of sin.

The coin delivers in a luxury deep grain wood box that has the shape of a book in honor of the anniversary of this monumental poem.  Inside, there is the Certificate of Authenticity together with the summary of a chapter “Inferno” from “The Divine Comedy” in three languages.

In the Inferno, it goes about the journey of Dante through Hell, guided by the ancient Roman poet Virgil. As an allegory, the Divine Comedy represents the journey of the soul toward God, with the Inferno describing the recognition and rejection of sin. The plot of the poem is as fascinating as the beauty of the coin.
