This coin is the 4th release in the hugely popular Chiwoo Cheonwang series, featuring the mythical god of war. This low mintage variant is again struck from .999 pure silver with a special design just for the 10 Ounce coin.
On the reverse side, Chiwoo Cheonwang is depicted standing on the field of battle after a rigorous engagement with the enemy. His large battle shield rests at his side with his right hand on it and he left hand clutching his sword as it stands on the tip. He has removed his helmet to allow him a better view of the carnage that resulted from yet another victory for the God of War.
The obverse face of 2019 10 oz South Korean Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals comes with the image of Do ggae bi. This grotesque figure is used on the shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang and features on the obverse of all medals in this series, as well as select other programs from KOMSCO.
The Korean Mint, KOMSCO, has gained prestige and international recognition on the back of the Chiwoo Cheonwang series, not only for the state of the art security measures employed in their mintage but also for the extreme artfulness and beauty of their immaculate designs.
