Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (April 1452 – May 1519) and more commonly Leonardo da Vinci or simply Leonardo, was an Italian scholar of the Renaissance whose broad areas of interest included invention, drawing, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature and cartography.

He is also renowned in the field of paleontology and is widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time.

This commemorative silver note features black and white reproductions of his most famous works including the Mona Lisa and Vitruvian Man on the obverse in addition to the Last Supper and Self Portrait on the reverse side.

Each foil thin banknote is minted from 5 grams of .999 fine silver and measures 155 X 66 mm.

The incredibly thin and flexible silver sheets and authentic guilloche patterns create an exceptional numismatic collectible. In fact, the notes only measure a mind-boggling 0.045 mm in thickness – less than half the thickness of an average sheet of paper.
