Biography
Alexander Filip is a coin modeling and visualization specialist based in Bratislava, Slovakia. He works with private mints and issuers across Europe, covering relief modeling, coin visualization, and marketing content. His work has appeared in Forbes Magazine, on the floors of the World Money Fair in Berlin, and in two COTY 2024 nominations. The Nikola Tesla coin earned the Coin Constellation 2024 award in the Souvenir Coin category. The Sumerian Civilization coin, for which he modeled the reverse, won Most Historically Significant Coin.
Training
Alexander holds a degree in applied mathematics and is a self-taught 3D modeler. His coin craft was shaped through mentorship under a traditional coin artist. That training shaped how Alexander approaches form, surface, and their presentation as a unified discipline.
Relief Modeling and Visualization
Alexander’s workflow covers a long stretch of the digital production pipeline. That includes relief modeling, production-ready file export, and photorealistic rendering for marketing use. What makes his approach distinct is that modeling and visualization run at the same time. Clients can see how the coin reads under realistic lighting at every stage of development, long before a die is cut. It’s a simple idea that changes how feedback works.

Visualizations
Alexander’s work in coin visualization focuses on how coins are introduced to the market. For most collectors and investors, the first encounter with a new coin happens on a screen rather than in hand. That first impression shapes perception before the coin is even examined.
His visualizations are built as marketing tools. Through lighting, realistic materials and considered compositions, he creates images that show the sculptural quality of a relief while connecting the coin to the identity of the mint behind it.
The coin is both a product and a message. Alexander works closely with mints throughout development to make sure the visual presentation reflects the same level of care that went into making the coin itself.
